We are a full-service veterinary hospital offering preventative care, surgery, and emergency services with a focus on personalized care.

Job Summary:

The CSR/Receptionist is the face of our hospital and plays a crucial role in creating a positive experience for our clients. You will be responsible for managing client interactions, scheduling appointments, handling phone calls, and providing administrative support to our veterinary team.

Responsibilities:

Client Service:

  • Greet clients and their pets with a warm and welcoming attitude.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
  • Provide accurate information to clients regarding services, fees, and hospital policies.
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage client records and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

Administrative Support:

  • Prepare and maintain medical records.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
  • Prepare and send out client communications (reminders, follow-ups).
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

Animal Handling (limited):

  • Occasional assistance with safely restraining animals during check-in or check-out, with proper training.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and veterinary practice management software (experience with Cornerstone is a plus).
  • A genuine love for animals and a compassionate attitude.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a veterinary hospital.
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
