Job Summary:
To ensure products and services meet quality standards and procedures are met as well as assisting in the creation of company procedures, policies, and processes, and conduct quality training sessions. This position is a peer to the Quality Assurance Coordinator position and perform duties for each. Key responsibilities will be on the production floor assisting with investigation of internal / external reworks, documentation, leading teams through root cause analysis and corrective actions and key responsibilities listed below.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures.
- Analyze data and generate reports on quality metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify quality issues and recommend solutions.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality-related topics.
- Monitor and review corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address quality problems.
- Ensure that quality standards are met throughout the production process.
- Continuously improve processes to enhance product and service quality.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices and optimization methods
- Makes recommendation on disposition of questionable product to supervisor.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipment.
• High school or technical school education, or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.
• Considerable mental and visual effort.
- Preferred Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma Belt Certified.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc.:
- Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment
- Quality orientation and attention to detail
- Problem analysis and problem resolution
- Proficient in Pareto Chart, RCA, 5 Why, Ishikawa Fishbone Diagram, PDCA, Corrective and Preventative Action, Data Collection, Statistical Process Control, and FMEA.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to train employees
- Computer experience. Specifically in Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Ability to interpret blueprints and read a tape measure.
- Ability to do simple percentage calculations and log data.
Physical Effort:
- Ability to work on a PC as required.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time during a normal work day or specified work period.
Salary : $23 - $25
