Production Supervisor

Overview:

The Production Supervisor will manage the manufacturing processes under our Manufacturing Manager, ensure product quality, and optimize efficiency to meet production goals. As a Production Supervisor, you will lead a team of production staff, coordinate with various departments, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.

* Mechanical knowledge and background is preferred.*

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets and deadlines.

· Develop and implement production schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate demand and resource availability changes.

· Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.

· Maintain high product quality standards by implementing and monitoring quality control procedures.

· Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

· Work closely with the management to ensure continuous improvement in product quality.

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

· Manage and mentor a team of production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

· Foster a positive, collaborative work environment promoting teamwork and high morale.

· Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production goals, updates, and feedback.

· Coordinate with procurement and inventory management to ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies.

· Monitor equipment and machinery to ensure they are correctly maintained and serviced.

· Promote a safety culture by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections.

· Ensure compliance with all safety and company policies.

· Communicate production status and any issues to senior management regularly.

· Perform any duties as assigned.

· Assist with bi-annual plant inventories.

Qualifications:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools.

Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
