We are seeking a crew leader (Pavement Maintenance) for our Cape Ann-based operations, with outdoor work occurring in the Greater Boston area.
As a crew leader, you will lead a work crew in performing a wide variety of projects for various clients across the region. This is a full-time seasonal, salaried position with some weekend work required. Ability to perform overnight/second shift projects required, per client requirements. Our business is seasonal, with most work occurring from March-November. Seasonal layoffs are possible.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead a three-man crew to work safely and efficiently
- Use equipment to perform line painting, asphalt crack filling and sealcoating, asphalt repair and more
- Plan and facilitate the production of a high-quality project
- Communicate job status daily with Ownership
- Maintain a safe, hazard-free job site
- Additional tasks as required
WHAT YOU BRING
- A valid MA driver’s license with a clean driving record and a reliable mode of transportation
- Asphalt/construction/sealcoating/line painting experience a plus
- Mass DOT preferred
- OSHA 10 preferred
- You are self-motivated, critical thinker that likes to problem solve
- You understand the importance of punctuality, organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 75lbs)
- Ability to work well independently, unsupervised with a leadership mentality
- Past experience with small engines (like lawnmowers) and/or paint sprayers is an asset
- An engineering educational background is an asset
