Our newly formed Colorado Springs location is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Pavement Maintenance Technician. Our rapidly growing team is in need of leaders to help successfully launch and support our growing network of clients. As Pavement Maintenance Technician you will be ask to perform duties, operate machinery and oversee a variety of projects spread out across our regions which include Colorado Springs, Pueblo and the Western Slope/I-70 corridor (with a primary focus on Colorado Springs/Pueblo). This franchisee is backed by a family office that has been investing in Colorado Springs since 2020 and the Pavement Maintenance Technician role will have the ability to grow within the various businesses.
Work schedule is project driven, weather permitting and generally seasonal (March through November) with the potential opportunity for some off-season work. Weekend and night work is also required, so the ideal candidate will enjoy a flexible schedule, with 40 hour weeks during peak periods. The ideal candidate will have the ability to grow alongside the business with an opportunity to assume a leadership role in the future.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Use equipment to perform line painting, asphalt crack filling , sealcoating and infrared repair
· Clean and maintain tools, equipment and work areas
· Communicate job status daily with the Operations Manager
· Maintain a safe, hazard-free job site
· Work directly with ownership to grow business and operational excellence
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
· Experience with outdoor labor industries (asphalt, landscaping, construction etc.)
· Experience driving, parking, and hooking up trailers
· Mechanical knowledge of machines including experience with small engines preferred, but not required
· Ability to follow a system of performance to detail
· Understand the importance of punctuality, organization and attention to detail
· Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 100lbs)
· Ability to work well independently unsupervised
· Must have driver’s license along with clean driving record and background check.
· Candidates will be required to provide multiple references, both personal and professional.
