Position Overview:Everline Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook IIII, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our resort's standards and ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction. You will work alongside a talented kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items to the standards set by the Executive Chef, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner, maintaining the highest level of food quality and consistency.
- Assist with food preparation for banquets, events, and high-volume service periods.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Follow portion control guidelines to minimize food waste.
- Collaborate with other line cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Monitor food stock levels and notify supervisors of any shortages or ordering needs.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
- Ensure that all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated (FIFO).
- Follow safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume, upscale kitchen or resort setting.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and strong communication skills.
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
