Requirements
At Evermark, we are a rapidly growing building materials company committed to delivering exceptional products, services, and solutions to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Accountant to join our accounting team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate tracking of stock, and supporting our financial operations.
As an Inventory Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records related to inventory, working closely with both the accounting and operations teams to ensure inventory transactions are properly recorded and aligned with company goals.
Your contributions will help ensure effective cost management, improve inventory accuracy, and support overall business performance.
- Analyze and execute inventory transactions, including transfers and adjustments. Identify, escalate, and resolve unusual transactions.
- Track inventory movements, including purchases, sales, and returns, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Calculate freight on inventory purchased and ensure accuracy of quantity and cost of inventory received.
- Collaborate with the purchasing and operations teams to understand inventory movements and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Identify and recommend improvements to inventory processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Support annual audits by providing necessary inventory documentation and explanations.
- Reconcile finished goods inventory accounts at month-end.
- Perform other projects and assignment upon supervisor’s request.
