As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Production Associate to join our dynamic team and be responsible for producing finely crafted stair parts and other millwork. The Production Associate should be well organized, detail oriented and good with numbers.

- Examine finished work pieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications and verify dimensions, visually and using hands, rules, calipers, templates, or gauges.
- Set-up & operate, or tend to CNC or manual woodworking machines, such as drill presses, lathes, shapers, router table, sanders, planers, or wood-nailing machines
- Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly.
- Monitor operation of machines and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Examine raw wood stock for defects and to ensure conformity to size and other specification standards.
- Adjust machine tables or cutting devices and set controls on machines to produce specified cuts or operations.
- Change alignment and adjustment of sanding, cutting, or boring machine guides to prevent defects in finished products, using hand tools.
- Determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to oral or written instructions, drawings, or work orders.
- Feed stock through feed mechanisms or conveyors into planing, shaping, boring, or sanding machines to produce desired components.
- Remove and replace worn parts, bits, belts, sandpaper, or shaping tools.
- Inspect and mark completed work pieces and stack them on pallets, in boxes, or carts so that they can be moved to the next workstation.
- Clean or maintain products, machines and work areas and keep them free from all hazards.
- Follow all safety procedures according to organizational procedures and guidelines.
- Training provided to assist at our warehouse during peak times.
- Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Good communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Dependable and Reliable
- Able to work independently and with others
- Basic math skills, ability to use tape measures and calipers
