What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor - Procurement - Evernorth Health Services position at Evernorth Health Services?
This role would be supporting IT Infrastructure in the Procurement Services Department. Please note, this role is hybrid to the Bloomfield, CT office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily requests from IT Infrastructure Engineering for hardware, software, maintenance, and vendor labor contract order requests, reviewing for accuracy and submitting in Ariba purchase orders requests or engaging Global Procurement Sourcing for contract execution as needed
- Partner with engineers, vendors, IT financial controllers, accounts payable, and fixed assets group, to ensure that IT infrastructure orders are set up correctly in the purchasing tools to allow for accurate forecasting, financial reporting, and asset management, and to eliminate audit risks
- Create inventory receipts; obtain daily updates from vendors to provide to various stakeholders detailed tracking and asset information for all hardware/software/maintenance/contract orders; update SharePoint with order status
- Directly, and in partnership with Global Procurement Third Party Management, manage existing vendor partnerships to ensure products and services are provided with competitive pricing and in a timely manner
- Mediate vendor issues and resolve disputes
- Build new relationships with key technology vendors
- Collaborate with Global Procurement to identify and resolve system issues or supplier enablement issues
- Manage invoice and payment issues
- Utilize tools and systems to communicate and collaborate efficiently
- Review and update process documentation as needed
- Support ad-hoc reporting needs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- 3 years in technology procurement
- Understanding of processes and stakeholders within an IT organization
- Understanding of IT Asset Lifecycle
- Vendor management experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet scheduling demands and timelines
- Strong problem-solving skills with customer focus
- Ability to identify, analyze, and recommend alternative solutions to successfully meet business priorities or streamline processes
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and communicate complex topics with simplicity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
