Our Team
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Eversource Account Executive (AE) team in Connecticut. The role is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with commercial, industrial, and municipal customers and to position Eversource as one of the highest performing regional providers of energy delivery services.
Our AEs are accountable for representing Eversource products, services, initiatives, pricing, contracts, load retention, and communication programs in and outside the company. And, acquiring customers with new construction and conversions in areas as assigned. Serves as the strategic ally with customers, public officials, trade allies, and community leaders. Provides customized, prompt, and creative solutions for assigned customers and prospective customers to retain and grow revenues. Actively listens to customers, understands their business needs, and identifies energy-related opportunities to assist with improving their business opportunities, and provides solutions to energy-related issues. Organizes and serves on specialized internal and external cross-functional teams, as necessary.
This role is based in our Newtown/Cheshire CT territory.
Essential Functions
Maintains account contacts and other pertinent information for all assigned customers. Enters data into automated (CRM) database systems.
Enhances, shapes, and builds relationships and partnerships with the Company's most complex customers, including community and business leaders. Develops multiple points of contact and relationships with assigned customers.
Gathers information, probes, and analyzes customer needs, and diagnoses customer service issues. Serves as a single point of contact to create and provide customized options and solutions. Recommends priorities on how company resources will be allocated. Prepares and presents options and solutions to gain customer commitment. Arranges for the implementation of customer solutions and follow‑up and provides technical assistance as needed.
Assists Strategic Accounts Manager in tracking progress on meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicators, while actively working toward accomplishing these goals.
Actively supports Operating Company during storms, power interruptions or other emergencies. Serves as liaison to major customers and municipalities during emergencies.
Participates in strategic teams as requested, to provide ideas and perspectives to improve operational processes.
Anticipates and proactively reports, recommends, or initiates action to address situations or problems that may impact a customer. Interprets federal, state, and local regulations and their impact on customer’s electric utility related activities with assistance from legal, regulatory and other relevant departments.
Participates in a leadership role in customer, trade ally, professional, civic, and community organizations and conferences, as deemed appropriate by management.
Takes lead with Transmission and/or Substation projects, with focus on keeping municipalities and assigned customers informed and updated.
Assists Community Relations department with program activities as appropriate.
Participates in support and monitoring of Company environmental and safety goals and initiatives.
Travel throughout the Eversource service territory may be required.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or the equivalent experience
Experience
3-5 years of related experience in account management, engineering services, customer service, or other related industries
Compensation and Benefits
Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The salary range for this position starts at $87,550.00 and the market rate is $99,500.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
