Job Description: EverSports is an MGU solely owned by Everest Global Insurance Group, whose mission is to be the recognized leader in providing contemporary insurance and risk management solutions for the sports, leisure, and entertainment industries. This position coordinates with contingency underwriters on a variety of tasks and responsibilities including, but not limited to, completing, distributing, and organizing forms and information for quoted and bound risks, along with monthly reporting. Candidate will engage in research for specific risks and events to facilitate proper risk analysis and pricing and assume responsibility for all aspects of policy issuance, endorsements, and file documentation, including all pertinent broker and underwriting correspondence, in the appropriate retention systems. Candidate will work directly with the Contingency Underwriters and the Global Head of Contingency to issue binders, certificates, and policies for bound risks as well as exposure documentation and reporting. The Contingency Division of EverSports, a member of the Everest Global Insurance Group is looking for an Underwriting Assistant II to join our Carmel, IN office team. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Develop binders for bound risk authorized by the underwriters. Issue certificates, policies, and related forms for bound risks authorized by the underwriters. Assist with research to facilitate proper risk analysis and pricing. Liaise with accounting to help resolve outstanding premiums and adjustments to bound business. Surplus lines compliance including ongoing monitoring of tax rates, stamping fees, weather monitoring fees, administrative fees, affidavit and diligent search requirements, and policy stamp wording. Responsible for various data entry functions such as, but not limited to, book of business metrics including quote status, bound submissions, gross written premium, aggregation of limits, claims, and premium bordereaux for intercompany reinsurance and Lloyd’s Coverholder business. Maintain aggregation exposure map and tracking. Claims reporting and follow up. Lloyd’s Coverholder compliance via the ATLAS system. Occasionally works with foreign currencies. Assist Global Head of Contingency with reporting and updated data. Participate in group discussions and training modules as required. Provide timely service mandated by event date and relative priority assigned by the underwriters. Qualifications, Education & Experience: Requires a college degree or relevant work experience. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of basic math skills and familiarity with general insurance products, industry terms and concepts. Industry experience or equivalent college or internship experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be attentive to detail.
