EverStaff is seeking a skilled Material Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Receiving department. This role involves managing incoming shipments, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining accurate records of inventory.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform data entry for all incoming materials into the system.
- Manage material flow to the shop floor to support production.
- Respond to departmental emails and correspondence promptly.
- Communicate with customers and vendors regarding incoming product shipments.
- Process returns to vendors as per established procedures.
- Print and match purchase orders with shipping receipts.
- Maintain daily records of received materials using "daily sheets."
- Offload trucks, verify delivery accuracy, and ensure proper documentation.
- Inspect and organize fittings and pipes, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Assist with yard cleanup and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain project-specific logs of piping valves received.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with data entry.
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping/receiving or inventory control.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working at elevated levels and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Working Conditions:
- Subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including varying temperatures.
- May operate at elevated levels and in confined spaces.
- Occasional use of respirators, fall protection, and ear protection due to noise levels.
