EverStaff is seeking a positive and highly motivated Billing Specialist to join our client's team. This role is ideal for candidates with some billing experience who are looking to grow their expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Direct-Hire Opportunity
Shift : Monday - Friday; flexible first shift schedule
Pay : $17-$19 / hr
Benefits :Responsibilities :
- Perform in-depth analysis of accounts receivable denials and claim submissions.
- Contact insurance providers to verify patient eligibility.
- Follow-up to resolve outstanding accounts receivable balances.
- Draft appeals for denied claims.
- Stay informed about commercial insurance policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, including appeals, reviews, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
- Communicate potential issues and concerns to the supervisor to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement processing.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
- Familiarity with home medical equipment products, services, and payer source guidelines is preferred.
