What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts specialist position at EverStaff?
Growing Canton area company is looking for a Construction Equipment Parts Specialist who would be responsible for the inventory, ordering, distributing, and stocking / restocking of parts and filters for the entire maintenance team
PAY : $60,000-$80,000 / yr
SHIFT : 1st
Key Responsibilities :
- Order parts for shop and field technicians under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
- Coordinate and supply filter kits for preventative maintenance staff.
- Stock and restock inventory and maintain accuracy.
- Establish and maintain cost-effective vendor relationships.
- Conduct monthly and annual inventory reviews of parts and filters.
- Update fleet maintenance software with part details and stock levels.
- Evaluate and establish new vendors based on project locations.
- Distribute parts daily to shop technicians and provide regular updates to the Maintenance Manager.
- Communicate effectively with technicians and the lube team to ensure availability of needed parts.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience :
- 2 years in the construction industry required.
- 3 years in parts departments for equipment, construction, mining, or industrial fields.
- Familiarity with heavy construction equipment parts.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance software (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Forklift Operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
