IT Specialist

Job Summary
The IT Specialist collaborates with the global IT team to deliver first-line service and support for endpoints, applications, and systems that support plant operations. Additionally, they contribute to various cross-functional team initiatives. They are responsible for the continuous maintenance and management of the global network and related services, such as switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and network security. Candidates with experience in manufacturing settings are highly preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support for end-user computers, applications, and networks, escalating complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.
- Oversee the global network infrastructure, ensuring consistent design, security, redundancy, and optimal uptime.
- Assist in managing the user lifecycle, including creating and administering employee logins and system access.
- Support endpoint lifecycle management from procurement to deployment, management, and eventual disposal.
- Participate in Change Management, Incident Management, and Disaster Recovery activities as required.
- Help define and meet SLA requirements for support-related issues.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance and refine global network services.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their relevance.
- Share technical expertise, industry knowledge, and best practices with the team to drive meaningful improvements.
- Work independently when necessary, exercising sound judgment, while ensuring clear documentation of tasks and achievements.
- Collaborate with European staff to coordinate and work on assigned projects.
