What is this job?
The One to One Aide works with an instructional team consisting of a special education / general education teacher and other support staff assigned to the classroom or students. The One to One Aide will work to support the program, ensuring consistency for an identified child or children throughout the day. This individual provides instructional and / or behavioral support for a child / children with an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) or a transitional plan using research-based strategies under the day to day supervision of the special education or general education teacher. The One to One Aide will also assist the teacher with preparation and reinforcing of classroom instruction. The One to One Aide may also deliver evidence-based programs designed for support staff under the direction of a teacher. The role of a One to One Aide is a flexible position and the role may vary as the needs of the student population change.
What is the Strawbridge School?
The Strawbridge School is a non-public school approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). The program provides small, caring classroom settings guided by certified special education teachers.
The school serves youth with emotional, behavioral, and / or intellectual differences in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our team addresses the unique educational needs of students who have been unable to thrive in a less restrictive, public-school setting. The Strawbridge School is one of several programs provided by Everstand, a national children and family-focused charity headquartered in Baltimore.

As we reflected on our history and contemplated our bright future, one thing become clear : the name “Board of Child Care” no longer represented the vast array of services we offer. What does the benefits package look like?
