JOB SUMMARY

Plan, implement and supervise safety programs in compliance with OSHA & corporate safety program standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
Four-year occupational safety / health degree or equivalent combinations of training and related experience
Minimum of five years construction and / or industrial safety experience.
Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures is essential
Must have a valid drivers' license with a safe driving record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previously worked in a manufacturing environment

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Requires strong organizational skills, attention to details, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.

Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Must be able to work in extreme elements

Excellent communication, supervisory skills are essential

Must be able to follow all PPE requirements

Must have safe driving record and a valid driver's license

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide overall leadership, professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of safety processes for all aspects including regulatory agency compliance, and employee Safety knowledge.

Responsible for the contentious development and implementation of safety policies and procedures

Provide recommendations to company management and executive leadership for effective workplace safety program.

Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through safety management and contacting supervisory personnel, as needed.

Responsible to continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the organization to create a culture that prioritizes effective safety engagement.

Coordinate and document safety training of personnel as needed

Document all accidents, violations, unsafe conditions and activities

Required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures, and implement appropriate corrective action as required

Must be able to travel to all six WSE locations for training, conferences, or any other necessary events.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
