Responsibilities

Are you passionate about maintaining and enhancing cloud infrastructure for mission-critical operations? As an AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator, you’ll be instrumental in deploying, managing, and optimizing AWS workloads for the Department of Defense (DoD). You’ll provide technical leadership, ensure system reliability, and apply innovative solutions to meet security and performance standards.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation, streamline operations, and ensure compliance with AWS best practices. With access to cutting-edge tools like Kubernetes, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), and AWS Management Console, you’ll play a vital role in advancing the operational capabilities of our cloud environment.

Qualifications

You Have:

• 10 years of experience in system administration or functional areas, and in IT systems administration with both Microsoft and Linux platforms
• 1 years of experience with Container Orchestration or application deployment, and containerized platforms
• 1 years of experience with managing containerized platforms with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes
• Experience in patching, security technical implementation guides (STIG), and upgrade processes on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience managing and operating workloads on AWS, AWS Management Console and AWS CLI, and with system administration supporting development and test teams in AWS environments, including traditional RHEL servers
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT field
• IAT Level II Certification, such as CompTIA Security CE, CCNA Security, or CySA
• Kubernetes CKA Certification
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty (AN-S), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional 

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework, networking, and security services
• Experience automating tasks and managing container orchestration environments
• Knowledge of tools like Diode, Lambda, and Terraform
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,143.26 /year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,143.26 /year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, sign-on payments, relocation, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of full paid medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
