Responsibilities

Are you passionate about leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies to design and implement secure, scalable solutions? As a senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect, you will shape the future of cloud-based architectures supporting critical Department of Defense (DoD) missions. Your expertise in AWS services and advanced cloud technologies will enable the seamless integration and optimization of applications across unclassified and classified environments.

In this role, you’ll provide specialized technical leadership to ensure cloud infrastructures are efficient, adaptable, and secure. You’ll engage in strategic planning, requirements analysis, and the development of cloud architectures that protect against vulnerabilities, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with security standards. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet technical and mission-driven requirements while driving cost-effectiveness and operational excellence.

Qualifications

You Have:

• 10 years of experience in cloud architecture or its functional areas, including web application systems integration
• 3 years of experience with DoD AWS cloud integrations, including Unclassified, Secret, and Top-Secret, microservices, and container platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or AWS EKS
• Experience in hybrid deployments, including virtual machines (VMs), OVAs, EC2s, and containerized applications managed by Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS tools or orchestration platforms in a cloud environment such as Kubernetes, EKS, Diode, or Lambda
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science and 10 years of experience with IT or Computer Science, or Master’s degree and 8 years of experience with IT or Computer Science
• IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security CE, CCNA Security, or CySA Certification
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification
• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional Certification 

Nice If You Have:

• Experience optimizing performance and cost-effectiveness in cloud architectures
• Experience with security frameworks, compliance validation, and governance processes
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
• Knowledge of advanced networking architectures and interconnectivity solutions
• Possession of excellent analytical skills to support process improvement and definition of requirements
• AWS SysOps Administrator Associate Certification
• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty Certification 

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,143.26 /year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,143.26 /year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, sign-on payments, relocation, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of full paid medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
