The ideal candidate is someone who truly cares about empowering families and has a bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field—or substantial human service experience. Our Family Support Caseworkers utilize a strengths-based approach to help families identify and overcome barriers to achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Connect families with essential resources and provide support through personalized service plans to help retain custody of their children.
- Deliver life skills training, emotional support, and guidance in home and community settings.
- Foster strong, trusting relationships with clients to facilitate open communication and effective problem-solving.
Full-Time Opportunities Available:
We have openings in Allegheny, Westmoreland, and Washington counties. This is a 40-hour per week position, eligible for overtime, offering flexibility in scheduling, including after-school hours and weekends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field preferred; substantial human service experience may substitute for a degree.
- 1-2 years of related experience or internship preferred.
- Experience addressing trauma-related issues is a plus.
- Strong organizational and computer skills, with a practical problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to adapt to change and a sense of humor!
- Commitment to building solid, personal relationships with clients.
