What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Care Specialist position at Every Child's Hope?
Youth Care Specialists provide care and oversight to youth ages 16 21 living in the transitional living program and shelter program at Steppingstone. Youth Care Specialists provide life skills instruction, supervision, and assist youth in achieving their service plan objectives while supporting program expectations. While everyone has their own unique experiences, many Steppingstone participants have faced houselessness, mental health challenges, problems in school, or are pregnant/parenting.
As the need for these services in our community increases, Steppingstone continues to grow. We are currently recruiting Youth Care Specialists to work a variety of shifts at our campus located in Kansas City, Missouri.
Steppingstone is a program of a larger organization, Every Childs Hope which offers an attractive benefit package including three (3) weeks of vacation starting your first year of employment. A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position plus two years relevant experience. In lieu of experience, relevant bachelors degree will be accepted. All candidates must have a strong desire to work with adolescents, a clean driving record, the ability to pass a federal criminal background fingerprinting check, drug screen and be at least 21 years of age.
