The Chief Medical Officer at Every Cure will provide strategic vision and operational oversight for the organization's medical function, ensuring the advancement of our mission to repurpose existing, FDA-approved drugs for diseases with significant unmet needs. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will drive the selection and advancement of a portfolio of drug repurposing opportunities through preclinical testing, clinical trials, and dissemination to patients. This leader will oversee a diverse portfolio of projects across disease areas and therapeutic modalities, balancing resource allocation, managing risk, and optimizing outcomes to maximize patient impact. The CMO will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Every Cure's AI platform and support predictive scoring methodologies. With expertise in clinical development and biomedical research, the CMO will serve as a public representative of Every Cure, driving impactful partnerships and promoting our work to external stakeholders.

How you will make an impact -

Lead the Medical Team : Lead Every Cure's medical function, including oversight of preclinical studies and clinical trials. Establish clear objectives, implement efficient processes, and lead a high-performing team to execute on the organization's mission.

Strategically Manage a Diverse Portfolio : Lead the management of ongoing projects and selection of new drug repurposing projects from Every Cure's AI platform and external experts, balancing resource allocation, risk, and potential for patient impact across Every Cure's key drug repurposing projects (which can be categorized into repurposing opportunities that need additional laboratory validation, clinical studies, or dissemination to patients). Use data-driven approaches to prioritize efforts and optimize outcomes.

Advance Research and Evidence Generation : Oversee the design and execution of in silico studies, preclinical experiments, and clinical trials to produce impactful, high-quality results and insights that can guide decisions on Every Cure's advancement of drug repurposing opportunities.

Contribute to Every Cure's Cutting-Edge AI Platform : Collaborate with Every Cure's technical team to refine the AI platform, incorporating medical insights and research findings to improve predictive scoring and align with clinical priorities.

Inspire and Lead a High-Performing Team : Be an inspiring people leader and mentor, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Structure and manage a team of scientists and clinicians who are motivated and empowered to achieve high-impact results.

Engage with Stakeholders : Represent Every Cure externally, fostering partnerships, managing CROs and advocating for the organization's work with patient communities, advocacy groups, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders. Present findings at public forums to advance Every Cure's mission.

Ensure Compliance and Dissemination : Oversee regulatory processes and develop effective dissemination strategies to ensure new therapies reach patients and stakeholders efficiently and effectively.

What you will bring to the team -

Education : MD or PhD in biomedical research, clinical sciences, or a related field.

Experience :

10 years in clinical research and clinical development portfolio management, with a proven track record of advancing drugs to clinical trials.

Demonstrated leadership experience, including recruiting, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams.

Expertise in drug development and clinical trial decision-making, with a demonstrated ability to oversee the execution of studies that generate impactful clinical data.

T echnical Skills :

Deep knowledge of clinical trial design, preclinical research, and evidence generation.

Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and process optimization.

Experience with regulatory requirements and dissemination strategies.

Conversant in computational approaches to research and validation.

Other Skills :

Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.

Strong strategic thinker with a focus on urgency, efficiency, and impact.

Your paycheck : Competitive salary based on experience, ranging from $400,000 - $500,000 annually.
