What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Administrator position at Every Home For Christ?
The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for the architecture, maintenance, and security of on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This role includes providing expert support, deployment, and maintenance for infrastructure components, systems, networks, and applications. The SA will work closely with the Director of IT to ensure the organization's IT environment remains stable, secure, and efficient.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Adheres to the Biblical standards of moral conduct, Every Home's vision statement, Every Home for Christ statement of faith, Every Home for Christ’s Employee standards and policies, Every Home for Christ’s Covenant of Harmony and upholds Every Home for Christ’s ministry in prayer.
- Focus on improving technology systems/processes to enhance the ministry efficiency of EHC, suggesting ways to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve user experience.
- Collaborates with personnel in their success as well as support of the organizational vision and goals.
- Assists in maintaining, monitoring, and improving on-premises and cloud environments including networks, servers, and platforms to meet or exceed industry best practices.
- Evaluates emerging technologies and makes recommendations regarding integration by EHC.
- Collaborates in the management of the network infrastructure (Cisco, Dell, Meraki, VMware, PaloAlto, etc).
- Assists in managing the virtualization environment (VMware, AHV, etc).
- Contributes to disaster recovery and business continuity efforts, including managing storage, backup systems, and data retention integrity to improve RPOs and RTOs.
- Shares in security operations, including training, patch management, system hardening, and validation.
- Provides support for audits of network infrastructure, databases, and applications.
- Aids in use, support, and enhancement of SIEM software for troubleshooting and auditing.
- Empowers EHC personnel with training and information that equips and empowers them in their work.
- Participates in cross training, mentoring, and educational growth opportunities.
- Engages with tickets, issues, and documentation development.
- Provides assistance in other areas as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Attends/active participation in a local church
- Education: minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field
- Experience: minimum of 3-5 years of IT experience, Microsoft Azure, Windows Servers, Group and Intune Policy, Linux, Active Directory, Cisco Networking, Endpoint Management, and strong documentation skills.
- Certifications/Licensing: Cisco, Microsoft, Linux, and VMWare are all desirable but not required

- Experience in managing server infrastructure for on-premises and cloud infrastructures
- Knowledge of Windows Servers, Cisco Networking, VMWare, Veeam, PowerShell scripting, Power Automate, Splunk, Linux, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon AWS
- Extraordinary level of resourcefulness and ability to research solutions and solve problems
- Ability to work independently and follow through on detailed directions and projects
- Composure under pressure and ability to perform well in stressful situations
- Desire to participant in team collaboration and performance reviews
- Ability to innovate and propose new ideas/solutions when appropriate
- Understanding of needs and challenges of global ministry technology
- Must be willing to be available for after hours system work, occasional on-call, travel to data centers

Pay will be determined based on qualifications/experience within posted range.
