Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting positive interactions among students.
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout the day.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
- Incorporate physical education activities into daily routines to promote health and wellness.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special educational needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting lesson plans as necessary to meet individual learning goals.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience in preschool or daycare settings is highly desirable.
- Proficient in lesson planning tailored for young children’s developmental stages.
- Effective classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Ability to educate children through creative play, structured activities, and hands-on experiences.
- Experience working with children with special education needs is a plus.
- Knowledge of toddler care routines and best practices for nurturing young children.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old
- A high school diploma or GED, with preferred education in Early childhood education or a related field.
- May require CDA credential or other relevant certification
- First aid/ CPR (or obtain within 30 days of hire); other assigned trainings
Physical Demands
- Must be able to kneel, climb, jump, push, walk, stand and sit
- Must be able to hold average sized child
- Exposure to sun
