Job Description: Every Special Child is looking for a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Nurse to provide direct medical support to a 17-year-old male student with complex medical needs. The student has a trach, feeding tubes, and uses a wheelchair. The 1:1 nurse will be responsible for assisting the student throughout the school day and riding the van to and from school with him.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide continuous medical support during the school day.
Assist with trach care, feeding tubes, and mobility needs.
Monitor the student's overall health and respond to medical needs as necessary.
Ride the school van with the student to ensure safe transportation.
Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure the student’s well-being.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Massachusetts.
Experience working with medically complex students, including trach and feeding tube care.
Ability to provide compassionate and professional care.
Reliable and comfortable traveling with the student.
