What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Every Woman OB/GYN?
We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented full time medical assistant for a busy multi-specialty office. Must have graduated from an accredited medical assistant program or be a certified/registered medical assistant.
Medical Assistant Job Duties:
Welcomes patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring, Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history into the EMR; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; disposing of contaminated supplies; authorizing drug refills as directed; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; setting up procedures for the health care providers. Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results into the EMR.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential. Knowledge of EMR and Microsoft Office programs.
Enhances health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Running patients samples in our lab, blood draws, taking x-rays (on site training available).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
