What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appointment Scheduler position at EveryAge?
Under the direction of the Health Plan Manager, the Appointment Scheduler maintains the Participant schedule for the external consult appointments when requested by clinic, specialists, and other medical providers (All appointment requests must be approved by PACE Providers/IDT). Obtains information from external clinics, specialists and other medical providers. Participates in morning IDT. Accepts other duties as assigned by the Health Plan Manager.
Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation. Must be able to meet Carolina SeniorCare's auto insurance carrier's standards for coverage.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college or business school is strongly preferred.
Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program with current certification and required in-services.
Minimum age of 18 years or older is required for this position due to Department of Labor regulations.
Minimum of one year working with the frail or elderly.
Two (2) years clerical or business experience, preferably in a health care environment is preferred.
Experience with a personal computer, various software applications, email, facsimile, and copier. Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
