Dietician
Under the supervision of the Center Administrator, the Registered Dietitian screens and assesses participant nutritional status. Uses pertinent data to plan and implement appropriate nutrition interventions and communicates the information to the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure the nutritional needs of the participants are met. Performs nutritional assessment and provides nutritional education for Carolina SeniorCare participants requiring interventions. Coordinates serving of meals; monitors/coordinates kitchen facilities to ensure standards are met. Coordinates with contracted meal services to ensure meals meet the needs of the participants. Provides education to other health care professionals as appropriate. Provides direction and supervision to Food Services Supervisor.
Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation. Must be able to meet EveryAge's auto insurance carrier's standards for coverage.
Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college with major studies in food and nutrition or dietetics required. Be legally authorized, currently licensed, registered or certified if applicable to practice in the State of North Carolina, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
Experience: Minimum of one year’s experience working with a frail or elderly population required.
