Overview of Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Full-Time Trainer is responsible for delivering outstanding fitness classes, maintaining facility standards, and acting as a leader and role model for the training team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and delivering an exceptional class experience while cultivating an active FIDI community.
  • Maintaining and owning facility cleanliness, equipment organization, and the operation of sound and technology systems.
  • Leading by example and mentoring other trainers to uphold EBF standards.

Primary Tasks in Detail

  • Create and Deliver Exceptional Class Experience
  • Teach a minimum of 10 classes per week, adhering to the EBF Class Auditing Rubric for structure, attire, and energy.
  • Conduct 10 personal training sessions (PTs) or (PTOs) personal training orientations per week.
  • Collaborate with the Head Personal Trainer (HPT) and Marketing team to grow personal training at FIDI through initiatives like tabling and corporate outreach.
  • Submit four BAGS workouts per month to the Corporate Head Trainer (CHT).
  • Maintain and Own Facility Standards
  • Facility Cleanliness: Take ownership of the facility’s cleanliness, encourage team accountability, and report major issues using the Facility Issues Form on the Training Hub.
  • Equipment Organization and Upkeep:
    • Ensure all equipment is organized and returned to its designated place.
    • Submit maintenance or equipment requests via the Facility Issues or Equipment Requests Forms on the EBF Playbook.
    • Conduct one thorough facility walk-through per week and submit a checklist to the Head Trainer.
  • Operation of Sound and Technology:
    • Troubleshoot and report any sound or technology issues using the Facility Issues Form.
    • Perform one weekly technology and sound check, submitting a checklist to the Head Trainer.
  • Be a Leader
  • Lead by example by teaching 10 classes per week with a positive attitude, perfect structure, and high energy.
  • Mentor prospective trainers through the Shadow Process as needed, in collaboration with the Director of Training, CHT, and Head Trainer.
  • Submit a weekly checklist to the Head Trainer to ensure accountability and communication.
  • Pursue growth opportunities as determined with the Head Trainer and Director of Training (varies by trainer).
Team Tasks

  • Attend training meetings in person or via video conference as scheduled.

Communication and Expectations

  • Respond to all emails within 24 hours.
  • Notify the Head Trainer and Director of Training within 48 hours of a deadline if unable to complete a weekly task or meet expectations, requesting assistance as needed.
