Job Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual as a Home Care / Home Health Credentialing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all healthcare providers and services meet necessary regulatory and accrediting standards, while maintaining up-to-date documentation.
This is a temporary contractor position, and we are open to negotiating the compensation based on experience, skill set, and project scope. Pay frequency and amount are flexible and will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities :
Credentialing & Compliance : Ensuring all documentation is current, accurate, and compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Verification : Conduct thorough verifications of licenses, certifications, background checks, and professional qualifications for new and existing providers.
- Documentation Management : Maintain accurate and organized records for each provider, ensuring that all required certifications, licenses, and insurance documents are up-to-date and stored properly.
- Regulatory Knowledge : Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations, insurance requirements, and industry standards related to home care and home health.
- Collaboration : Work with internal teams such as human resources, compliance, and clinical staff to ensure timely credentialing and that all regulatory standards are met.
- Audit Preparation : Assist with internal and external audits by providing credentialing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Ongoing Monitoring : Monitor expiration dates for certifications, licenses, and other required documents, and initiate renewal processes as necessary.
- Reporting : Generate reports related to credentialing status, renewal cycles, and compliance to support leadership decision-making.
- Customer Service : Serve as a point of contact for credentialing inquiries and provide support to new hires, contractors, and existing staff on credentialing processes and requirements.
Qualifications : Experience :
Strong understanding of healthcare credentialing processes, including verifying licenses, certifications, and insurance requirements.
