The VP of Operations will be the key operational leader responsible for driving all supply chain and logistics functions, ensuring efficient production, sourcing, and fulfillment. As a critical member of the leadership team, this role requires a seasoned, hands-on operator with a proven track record of scaling supply chains and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is not only a supply chain expert but also an entrepreneurial thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments, ready to lead and innovate while getting into the operational details.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire supply chain, including sourcing, contract manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, procurement, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Build and develop the operations team to ensure seamless execution of the company’s strategic goals.
- Oversee quality and regulatory compliance to ensure all products meet high standards for safety and certifications (i.e., USDA Organic, Non-GMO, etc.).
- Partner and implement robust inventory management systems to optimize stock levels, reduce costs, and ensure efficient demand fulfillment.
- Take ownership of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between demand planning, supply planning, and overall business objectives.
- Drive accountability for accurate and dynamic demand planning to meet customer needs across multiple channels (DTC, retail, wholesale, etc.).
- Negotiate with key suppliers to secure high-quality ingredients and packaging at competitive costs.
- Collaborate with the Product and Marketing teams to assist R&D and product innovation efforts, ensuring new product launches are executed efficiently.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to improve margins, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.
- Establish and manage key operational KPIs and metrics to track performance and ensure operational goals are met.
- Oversee seamless integration with EDI systems to ensure efficient and accurate communication with retail and wholesale partners.
- Champion an omni-channel operational strategy, ensuring exceptional customer experience across DTC, retail, and other sales channels.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership to execute key business initiatives and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic vision.
- Develop a long-term operational strategy, including capacity planning, to support the company's aggressive growth targets in the CPG industry.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of operational nuances in the DTC, Retail, and CPG sectors, ensuring scalability and efficiency across all channels.
