Product Director, Internal Tooling and Operations

We are currently looking for a Product Director to add to our dynamic team.

About the Role :

At Ziff Davis Shopping, we're rewriting the narrative of couponing, transforming it from a last-minute necessity to an exciting journey of savings and rewards. We're not just a platform for discount codes; we're a shopping concierge where our members earn while they spend. Through validation, curation and recommendations across all channels-be it web, app, extension, or email-we strive to ensure best of web value for our customers.

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Product to lead the development and management of internal tools and operations for our commerce platforms. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to enhance our operational efficiency and ensure our tools enable teams to deliver world-class consumer experiences. This role is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the underlying systems that enable Ziff Davis Shopping to scale.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership :

Develop and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for internal tools and operations.
Align internal tooling initiatives with broader business goals and commerce platform strategies.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Sales, and Marketing, to gather requirements and prioritize features.

Act as the voice of internal users to ensure tools meet their needs and improve workflow efficiency.

Product Management :

Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of internal products, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch and optimization.

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and adoption of internal tools.

Continuously assess and improve operational processes using data-driven insights.

Team Leadership :

Manage and mentor a team of product managers and / or analysts focused on internal tools and operations.

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

8 years of product management experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience managing internal tools and operational platforms, preferably in e-commerce or technology-driven environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to solve stakeholder problems with empathy and creativity, and translate complex technical concepts into business value.

Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring high-performing teams.

Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Proven success in delivering innovative products that increase operational efficiency and business impact.

Ability to work effectively with engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions, including a technical understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS), APIs, and relational database systems (RDS).
