Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental clinic. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals (endodontics), and crowns (prosthodontics).
- Fabricate dental appliances and prosthetics as needed.
- Provide preventive care education to patients, including proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license with no disciplinary actions.
- Proficiency in general dentistry practices; experience in pediatrics or specialized fields such as endodontics or prosthodontics is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
- Familiarity with infection control standards and practices within a dental clinic setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
