After school hours needed: Preferred hours are 3pm-6pm, Monday through Thursday, 3 to 5 on Friday.
We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. At Everything In Between, we see people of all ages and abilities. We are currently seeking a well rounded candidate who is able to work with both our pediatric and learn about our adult population. Training is available, but experience is preferred. The hours may vary, but availability from 3 pm to 5/6 pm is required.
We work with children from birth to 18 with a variety of conditions including Autism, Developmental Delay, ADHD, Sensory Processing, etc. Our adult population varies from concussion management, executive functioning impairments, and upper extremity injuries.
The just right candidate will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable the client to carryover the skills into daily life and provide caregivers with education to support their family member. The successful candidate will have a holistic perspective and will be able to adapt the environment to fit the client.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans
- Select and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
- Complete billing and documentation in a timely manner
- Provide communication with providers and other professionals as needed for comprehensive care of the child
Skills
- Proven working experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- New Grads considered!!
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
- Proficient computer use
- Familiarity with the Sensory Profile, PDMS-2, Beery VMI, BOT-2
- Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
- Professional behavior
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy
- Degree from an accredited COTA program
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
