What are the responsibilities and job description for the Candidate Training and Engagement Manager position at Everytown for Gun Safety?
Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund (“Everytown for Gun Safety”) is the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country. Everytown for Gun Safety’s Political Team is seeking a Candidate Training and Engagement Manager to help build the strength and power of our grassroots volunteer network, Moms Demand Action. Our goal is to build a pipeline of gun safety candidates up and down the ballot. The Candidate Training and Engagement Manager will drive the development of high quality training, mentoring, and networking opportunities for our grassroots volunteers who are interested in learning more about how to run for local, state, or federal offices.
Candidates should be self-starters with a proven track record of managing electoral campaigns and developing and delivering candidate training. This position is based in New York City or Washington, DC.
Responsibilities :
- Training Curriculum Development and Management :
Develop a national training curriculum focused on grassroots volunteers and who are considering running for elected office; drive planning and setup for in-person trainings
Create opportunities and platforms for candidates and elected volunteers to connect and share best practices and insights on running for office
Act as primary point of contact for a regional group of candidates, providing information to candidates about the Gun Sense Candidate program
Qualifications :
The salary range for this role is $85,000-$95,000 per year. Everytown offers a generous benefits package including PTO, 401K Match, Education Assistance and more.
