What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Controller position at EverZinc?
SUMMARY: The Plant Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the plant and partner with the Plant Manger on all matters including but not limited to plant performance, plant reporting, forecasts and financial systems.
POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Act as a business partner to the Plant Manager.
· Complete timely, informative and accurate monthly accounts reporting on the performance of the designated plant, identifying any challenges and opportunities to improve profitability to the Plant Manager and Sales Manager.
· Monitor key performance indicators.
· Ensure corporate budgeting process are carried out and reviewed.
· Maintain rolling forecasts to provide an updated financial outlook based on current business trends and economic conditions.

· Provide what-if and scenario analyses on perceived events that may impact the plant’s performance and help develop plans to ensure expected plant performance is achieved.
· Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario planning to identify key drivers impacting financial performance.
· Develop and maintain plant Internal Controls.
· Manage net working capital (inventories).
· Capex planning and ROI.
· Cost accounting/ metal flow through analysis.
· Cost savings/ monitoring yield support projects to enhance productivity.
· Monitor conversion costs.
· Support the plant manager and the Global Corporate Controller in special projects.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Five years or more of related experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
- Understanding of current accounting trends.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, large data sets)
- Experience with various ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.
- Nimble, self-starter with ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous improvement knowledge and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
