We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Veterinary Radiology Technician to join the Friendship Diagnostic Imaging team. This role involves taking radiographs to support our emergency, specialty, and primary care departments. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced work environment, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to providing high-quality patient care
The schedule is 10 hour shifts, 4 days per week with no on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform veterinary x-rays for various studies (thoracic, abdominal, musculoskeletal, tube placement, neurology pin-shot, etc.).
- Uphold ALARA standards to minimize radiation exposure to staff and patients.
- Communicate professionally with clients, referring veterinarians, and other hospital staff.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and other diagnostic imaging team members.
- Coordinate with other hospital departments for sedated radiographs and interdepartmental procedures.
- Enter radiograph charges into the invoicing system.
- Cross-train to support other imaging modalities (e.g., ultrasound) as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
