Intern Position Summary:

The Plugshare team is seeking a Data Analytics Intern to join our team for the summer. The intern will help with a large data science project the group is undertaking over the summer, using internal and external data including driver and vehicle details and predicting demand as well as placement of future stations for Plugshare’s clients. In addition, the intern will gain exposure to analytics tasks that Plugshare carries out and help support existing client tasks, which include data pull for internal and external clients and data engineering work, as well as Tableau visualization maintenance.

This internship will be 12-weeks, 30-hours per week, starting June 2, 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Data collection, cleaning, analysis, ETL and building and maintaining of data pipelines and databases
• Conducting ad hoc data pulls and building and maintaining Tableau workbooks
• Creation of machine learning model for prediction of driver demand and charging station placement
  
  
  

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in s data engineering, data science, or data analytics undergraduate program
• Familiarity with SQL (Postgres preferred), Tableau, Python or R, Excel
• Understanding of common machine learning algorithms and their applications, as well as how to implement and troubleshoot them
• Good sense of data engineering principles
• An eye for data visualization design
• Agile thinker and capable of working effectively as part of a team
• Good verbal and written communication
  
  
  

The hourly pay for this position is $22.00 USD.
