Salary Range: $60K - 80K (Depend upon experience)
The Contract Package Development Engineer will be developing the packaging systems for a wide range of sterile and non-sterile products in support of new product development teams as well as legacy products.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
Under the supervision of Package Development Leadership and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, the Contract Package Development Engineer:
- Evaluates products for package requirements.
- Evaluates existing package systems for simplification opportunities.
- Engages with package component suppliers in the development, qualification and sourcing of new package components.
- Prepares and coordinates the review and approval of all necessary package specifications and supporting documentation for new package designs, package design changes and site transfers.
- Determines testing requirements, develops test protocols and coordinates testing to ensure product and package integrity.
- Executes packaging projects in compliance with government and corporate procedures and guidelines as well as industry standards.
- Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION*
- Bachelor’s Degree in Package Engineering or other Technical Degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, etc.)
- 2 years of experience
Required:
- Attention to detail with ability to work with minimal supervision and with a high degree of concentration for several hours at a time.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of PC with Microsoft Office applications is necessary
