In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining EV battery systems, working with lithium-ion battery technology, electrical diagnostics, and EV powertrain components. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of EV battery packs, modules, and related components.
- Conduct battery testing, including voltage, current, resistance, and thermal analysis.
- Assist in assembling, disassembling, and replacing battery modules and packs.
- Perform software updates and calibrations on battery management systems (BMS).
- Monitor battery health and performance using specialized diagnostic tools.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on EV battery systems.
- Work with high-voltage electrical systems safely, following industry regulations and company protocols.
- Assist in research and development of new battery technologies and maintenance strategies.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation of repairs and tests performed.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for handling high-voltage systems and hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
Desired Skills:
- Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery chemistry, battery management systems (BMS), and thermal management.
- Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostic tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and battery testers. Experience with battery cell balancing and refurbishment techniques.
- Familiarity with EV powertrains, charging systems, and energy storage solutions.
- Familiarity with programming and updating battery management system (BMS) software.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of safety protocols for handling high-voltage systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to undergo additional training and certifications as required.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or certification in electrical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience working with EV battery systems, high-voltage components, or related technologies.
- Certification in EV battery repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE, OEM-specific training).
- Previous work experience in an EV battery manufacturing, servicing or repair facility.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position includes equity and cash components.
