Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with auditing product quantities, tracking lot numbers and expiration dates, restaging items for optimal picking practices. Corrective re-kitting of items as needed based on communicated processes and procedures. Handling the destruction of material processes. As well as handling additional inventory related inquiries from clients or other department supervisors.
Key responsibilities
- Determine staffing needs based on workload and schedules staff accordingly. Working with HR and Warehouse Director to maintain the department organizational chart.
- Assigns workers to specific duties based on workload and schedules.
- Reviews and updates operational procedures as necessary and ensures they are communicated to and understood by the inventory associates.
- Tracks productivity and qualifies performance by individual, function, and department.
- Works with the inventory team to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy possible.
- Advises employees on handling of items received to be stored according to set practices; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, and maintaining stock; and related problems.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and track inventory levels for assigned clients and all team inventory replenishment activities
- Manages warehouse Cycle Count Program to ensure all inventory is regularly counted
- Works with Operations and Account Management to perform Physical Inventories - reporting results to leadership and customers
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Issues written and oral instructions to team members and handles disciplinary actions as needed alongside HR and management team.
- Ensures that proper safety procedures are followed.
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Directly supervises 4 employees in the area of Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); & at least 6 months experience .
Knowledge on warehouse software is also preferred.
You must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
This is a full time position. Monday- Friday 8 : 00-4 : 30. With occasional overtime.
