Job Responsibilities/Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be preparing and painting aircraft or marine surfaces to the highest industry standards. You will work closely with a skilled team to ensure all projects are painted accurately and efficiently, adhering to customer specifications and regulations.
Job Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by hanging parts, cleaning, masking, and sanding as necessary.
- Mix and apply paint, primers, and specialized coatings with precision using professional-grade painting equipment.
- Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and touch up as needed to achieve a flawless result.
- Follow detailed paint schemes and customer specifications to ensure consistent and accurate work.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including the spray booth and tools.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines, including proper use of protective equipment and handling of materials.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a focus on precision and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable working at various heights, on ladders, and within ambient temperatures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Previous experience in painting, automotive, or industrial coating is required.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in an industrial or shop environment.
