Managing Director, Implementations

We are hiring for a Senior Director to join our Implementation and PMO Team.

The Managing Director, Implementations is a key role in the delivery and execution of implementations and initiatives critical to Evolent’s enterprise strategy and growth. This program leadership role drives team success of large-scale initiatives and provides oversight and management support to project team members.

The Managing Director role is an enterprise leadership role with executive level visibility. The role entails frequent interaction with internal and external stakeholders, as well as cross-functional collaboration with Product, Technology, Clinical, Operations, and Growth. As part of the Implementation team, the Managing Director will own cross-functional program management, mentor and work collaboratively with Project Managers, and contribute to internal initiatives to drive efficiencies and best practices for Implementation team.

What You Will Be Doing :

  • Lead the enterprise-wide PM team, prioritize projects based on enterprise goals, provide guidance and support to PMs and Program Managers leading projects.
  • Play a leadership role in organizing resources, producing deliverables, managing timeframes, and monitoring quality of the implementations led by you and your team.
  • Accountable for complex cross-functional project delivery : requirements build, solution design, project risk and issue management.
  • Work on transformation efforts to ensure that project teams are delivering high quality work consistently, identify process improvement gaps in implementations and internal projects and builds plans to address those gaps.
  • Concise communication of implementation achievements, challenges, risk and issue mitigation across diverse stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with client leadership, account delivery leads, and senior project stakeholders.
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and coaching to a high performing project management team.
  • Identify and facilitate improvement opportunities for team performance, program development, and system / process gap closure or enhancements across partner teams.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Required)
  • 15 years of health care management and / or consulting experience (Required)
  • 10 years of project management, client management, and / or program management (Required)
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office products (Required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present to internal and external audiences and at all levels of the organization (Required)
  • Experience leading diverse cross-functional groups to drive problem-solving and solution strategy (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously (Required)
  • Previous health care knowledge, preferably in one of more of the following areas : provider systems, health plan operations, implementations, payer contracting, alternative payment models, delegated risk, or ACOs / CINs (Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of AdaptiveWork (or other project management application), Confluence, JIRA (Preferred)
  • Technical Requirements :

    We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home : High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
