We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Asphalt Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to the paving and maintenance of asphalt surfaces. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including bulldozers, graders, dump trucks, backhoes, loaders, and front loader trucks for asphalt paving and maintenance projects.
- Prepare surfaces for paving by clearing debris and ensuring proper grading.
- Pave asphalt surfaces according to specifications and ensure quality control during the process.
- Conduct utility locating to avoid damage to underground utilities during construction.
- Collaborate with team members to build and maintain roads, parking lots, and other asphalt structures.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in asphalt work or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, graders, dump trucks, backhoes, and loaders.
- Knowledge of utility locating techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina and capability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety.
