About this Opportunity:
The Inventory and Quality Control Coordinator verifies incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness while adhering to quality standards, regularly lifts and stacks cases of merchandise, expedites shipments from receiving area, stocks merchandise in designated areas, conducts thorough quality control inspections on incoming goods, identifying any discrepancies or damages and appropriately documenting them. Position reports to the Production Manager. This is a part time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Locates, verifies, lifts, selects, counts, and bin locates merchandise ensuring accuracy in PO processing. Utilizes equipment such as an RF Scanner proficiently to track and manage inventory movements.
- Operates forklift equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and guidelines.
- Actively participates in inventory management processes, including cycle counts, and reconciliations.
- Contributes to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring that all inventory is stored securely and in accordance with company policies.
- Assists in the implementation and enforcement of quality control procedures to uphold product standards and customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Location:
Evolution Motion Solutions is headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices in TX, UT, AL, AZ, MT, OK, MA, MI IN, IL, OH and Canada. This position will be based out of our Weidman, MI facility.
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a distribution or manufacturing warehouse environment, with a focus on inventory management, receiving, and quality control.
- Familiarity with shipping 125-150 combined package and LTL type shipments.
- Comprehensive understanding of receiving, stocking, order pulling, and shipping functions within a distribution warehouse setting.
- Experience with WIFI or RF data collection devices required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent time and priority management skills, with the ability to set realistic goals, track priorities, and maintain schedules.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, capable of analyzing complex issues and proposing viable solutions.
- Proficient in basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and problem-solving.
- Clear and effective written communication skills tailored to the intended purpose and audience.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is active and fast paced. The employee will stand for long periods of time – sitting when on a forklift. Lift and Carry items up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a general warehouse environment. Flexibility to work after normal business hours and possibly weekends.
