As a Hydraulics Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with Sales and Operations across the organization. While your primary responsibilities will include being a design specialist, with large project responsibility for performing engineering calculations for hydraulic power units, manifolds, and systems, you will also be responsible for generating 2D drawings and 3D models of custom parts, assemblies, and schematics that meet all project requirements. You will report directly to the Engineer Manager.
Key Responsibilities :
Large project responsibility for performing engineering calculations to define required performance for hydraulic power units, manifolds, and systems.Responsible for generating 3D models, and 2D drawings of custom parts, assemblies, and schematics that meet all project requirements.Communicate with Purchasing and suppliers to obtain pricing and quotes for commercial and custom parts, fabrications, and components.Use the company ERP system to enter Sales Orders and create and manage Work Orders.Communicate with shop to assist in trouble-shooting manufacturing and testing problems.Quality review and sign-off on completed jobs.Requirements :

EDUCATION :
4-year engineering degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline OR 4 years working for one company, with at least 2 of those years in a design or engineering role.EXPERIENCE :
Demonstrated experience multiple complex hydraulics applications.Advanced knowledge and experience selecting and specifying products for complex hydraulics applications. Ideally familiar with Rexroth, Hydac, Sun Hydraulics, IFM, DMIC.Demonstrated experience teaching others to do engineering calculations to solve specific hydraulics application problems.Demonstrated experience teaching others to use one or more CAE tools including Excel, Matlab, MathCAD, FEA, CFD, 1-D simulation, etc., to solve specific hydraulics application problems.Demonstrated responsibility for part, assembly, and schematic drawings on a complex project.Experience verifying drawings that meet complex project specifications.Experience with drawing release and revision processes.Experience with Product Data Management.Ideally familiar with AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, and PDF editing software.Demonstrated experience managing tasks for multiple and / or complex projects leveraging other resources such as design, purchasing, sales, and manufacturing.Advanced use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to trouble shoots problems.Demonstrated use of project reporting tools like Gantt charts and action items lists to communicate with team and outside of department to manage large projects.Ideally familiar with Microsoft Access databases.7-9 years’ experience in engineering rolesSKILLS & ABILITIES :
Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to perform analytics.Familiarity with Microsoft Office; proficient with Excel.Strong internet research skills.Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.Desire to contribute to the growth of the company and career.
