What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Safety Staffing (Local Assignment) position at Evolution Safety Resources?
Evolution Safety Resources is a Safety Consulting Firm based out of Raleigh, NC.
With clients spanning across the United States, we are seeking a local field safety representative to inspect and maintain site safety on the client site and ensure compliance with federal, state, and best practice safety guidelines.
We are looking for a two full-time Safety Representatives to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines on our Oxford, NC customer site. You will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. You will also be on a constant lookout for violations.
The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies. The goal is to establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compliance with all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and NFPA regulations,
- Follow all safety rules and report any unsafe conditions.
- Properly use all required personal protection equipment
- Comply with job site guidelines to ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.
- Maintains daily reports required by the customer including daily inspections, Job Safety Analysis, and incident reports.
- Inspects sites daily for existing and/or potential incidents and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Investigates all injuries and illnesses reported.
- Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
- Maintains safety files and records.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- OSHA 510 credentials (required)
- Field Safety Experience - 5 yrs (preferred)
- Ability to utilize safety reporting systems and software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
