Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about sailing? 180 Sails/Evolution Sails is a small, fast-paced sail loft located on the North Side of Chicago, and we’re looking for a Back Office Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll wear many hats and play a vital part in keeping our business running smoothly.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle billing, invoicing, and payment processing
• Enter orders and manage data accurately
• Track orders to ensure timely delivery and follow up with vendors or customers as needed
• Answer the phone, assist customers with inquiries, and provide excellent customer service
• Assist with basic marketing tasks, including social media updates and email campaigns
• Proofread documents and marketing materials to ensure accuracy
• Provide general administrative support and lend a hand wherever needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets)
• Excellent proofreading and communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Basic understanding of sailing terms is a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• $18-$22 per hour, based on experience
