Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an inviting shopping environment. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective upselling techniques and product demonstrations while ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance with their inquiries.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to potential buyers.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product information.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and performing restocking duties as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing complaints or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall store performance.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with supervising or training new staff is a plus.
- Familiarity with retail store operations is advantageous but not required
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills related to product knowledge and sales techniques.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.59 - $15.32 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
