The Patient Care/Treatment Coordinator
Description:
This position plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience from the moment they enter our practice to the completion of their treatment plan. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong understanding of dental procedures, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction & Communication:
- Greet patients in a friendly and welcoming manner upon arrival.
- Answer patient inquiries about treatments, services, and office policies.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring that schedules are efficiently managed.
- Provide patients with necessary pre-appointment and post-treatment instructions.
- Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments and reschedule as needed.
- Treatment Coordination:
- Collaborate with the dentist and other team members to create and explain personalized treatment plans for patients.
- Present treatment options and financial estimates, ensuring patients understand their treatment needs and financial commitments.
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and help them maximize their benefits.
- Collect patient medical and dental history and update their records accordingly.
- Manage patient A/R report. Sending statements once per month
- Answer any billing questions
- Administrative Support:
- * Utilize Open Dental software like a pro
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the practice management software.
- Process insurance claims, verify eligibility, and handle patient billing inquiries.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out, ensuring smooth transitions between treatment stages.
- Prepare and maintain patient treatment charts and any necessary paperwork.
- Patient Education & Follow-Up:
- Educate patients on dental procedures and preventive care practices.
- Coordinate and schedule follow-up appointments for ongoing treatments or regular check-ups.
- Provide reassurance and support to patients throughout their treatment process.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive work environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as needed to ensure the office runs smoothly.
Experience:
2 YEARS EXPERIENCE TREATMENT COORDINATION, MANAGING OR INSURANCE COORDINATION
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
